The first winner of the new Rado Young Designer Award is Christien Meindertsma.

In awarding the new Rado prize to this remarkable young talent, the international design jury highlighted the originality, inventiveness and remarkably consequent investigation of materials evident in her work PIG05049.

The prestigious Rado prize was granted for the first time on October 18th in Eindhoven as part of the Dutch Design Awards 2008.
