On Saturday 9th September 2017, Swiss watchmaker Rado, in association with Paris Design Week, awarded the Rado Star Prize France 2017 – Prix du Jury to Julien Manaira for his project ‘The once Liquid Plastic’ and the Rado Star Prize France 2017 - Prix du Public to Dimitry Hlinka for the project ‘Silhouette’.
A new YoungStar has been born: Rado is proud to welcome rising tennis star Jason Wu as the latest addition to the Rado YoungStar programme. Jason made history on 10 September 2017 by becoming the first Chinese player to win the U.S. Open Boys’ Singles title.
Russian actress Yulia Peresild, the latest ambassador to join the Rado family, recently paid the brand a summertime visit at its Swiss headquarters. Yulia kicked off her visit with a behind-the-scenes tour, where she was treated to an in-depth look at how Rado’s high-tech ceramic timepieces come to life.
As an avid supporter of tennis, Rado understands that pursuing an active lifestyle shouldn't have to mean sacrificing style. This is why the brand is expanding its True Thinline collection with two new timepieces suitable for a variety of looks both on and off court.
Rado is happy to announce its partnership with Grandi Giardini Italiani, which will see the brand join forces with the artistic and historical heritage of Italian gardens.
Grandi Giardini Italiani is a network of over 100 of the finest gardens in Italy and surrounding countries. As a design-driven watchmaker, Rado understands the importance of well-designed experiences – something that is embodied by Grandi Giardini Italiani at the juncture between man and nature.
As a proud partner of the Lawn Tennis Association, Rado is pleased to be on court in the UK as the official timekeeper of five tournaments: Aegon Classic Birmingham, Aegon Open Nottingham ATP Challenger and WTA, Aegon Championships at The Queen’s Club London, and Aegon International Eastbourne.
