A construction defined by precision. Finished for comfort. Built to endure.
The Captain Cook Skeleton is built from matte black high-tech ceramic, engineered at molecular level and sintered at 1450°C to reach 1250 Vickers in surface hardness. The result is a monobloc case that defies scratches, resists time, and wears like a second skin. This is a material born for extremes. Its thermal stability and hypoallergenic nature make it the ideal companion for long hours on the wrist, under any conditions. It doesn’t age. It doesn’t fade. It remains exactly as it was designed to be — uncompromising in every environment. Framing the architecture, the rose-gold PVD bezel features a laser-structured ceramic insert, treated to resist fingerprints and engraved with lacquered markers. The lines flow seamlessly into the integrated three-link ceramic bracelet, secured by a titanium clasp with ceramic pushers.
Calibre R808
At the heart of Captain Cook Skeleton beats the R808 calibre, a 25-jewel self-winding movement revealed through a transparent sapphire crystal dial. Skeletonized with surgical intent, it displays its inner architecture with Côtes de Genève finishing, nickel-toned bridges and a rose-gold PVD centre wheel bridge. Regulated in five positions and equipped with a Nivachron™ hairspring, the R808 resists magnetic fields and maintains high chronometric precision. Its 80-hour power reserve allows for extended wear without interruption. The experience continues on the back. A second sapphire crystal, set into the black PVD-coated titanium caseback, reveals the movement in full operation — exposing its intricate depth, technical layering, and constant motion from both sides of the case.
After its celebrated relaunch in 2023, Rado unveils five new editions of the Anatom, propelling its ergonomic legacy to new limits. For the first time Its iconic cylindrical sapphire crystal, bevelled on both sides, flows seamlessly into polished high-tech ceramic links, merging the case and bracelet into a unified, cohesive shape that feels like a natural extension of the wrist.
