Dubai Design Week

In 2017, Rado made its debut at Dubai Design Week as an exhibitor. With such a great buzz around the design community in the Emirate, it was obvious that Dubai Design Week would become an important focus for the region and one that an award-winning and design-driven brand such as Rado needed to be involved in. Rado returns to Dubai Design Week in 2018 as a partner and with a special exhibition that showcases the brand’s pioneering status as the Master of Materials.

DesignInspire

DesignInspire is an international exhibition about creativity. As an inspiring platform for global creative elites, design brands, design associations and institutes to showcase their abilities, it offers an array of interactive installations, novel ideas, design products and projects. This is what inspired Rado to be a part of the exhibition and to run its prestigious Rado Star Prize competition in Hong Kong, SAR in 2018. Challenging up-and-coming designers to respond to the theme ‘Design Inspired by Nature’ the competition proved to be an effective platform for inspiring new ideas.

MADRID DESIGN FESTIVAL

Madrid Design Festival is an international event organized by the cultural centre La Fábrica with the aim of turning the Spanish city into a design capital. The festival encompasses all disciplines within design, from architecture to graphic design, as well as communication and interior design, bringing them all together within a contemporary and innovative format. Rado, a design-driven watchmaker from its very beginnings, is proud to present the first ever Rado Star Prize Spain during the inaugural Madrid Design Festival.

Design Shanghai

As a design-driven watchmaker, Rado was the natural choice to serve as the official watch of Asia's leading design event: Design Shanghai. The event features the finest international design brands and galleries from across the globe, with bespoke installations, an inspirational design forum and an exciting design network rounding out the expo. The partnership is a natural step for Rado, an award-winning brand with a longstanding tradition of pushing design boundaries in the watchmaking world.

ISTITUTO MARANGONI

In the spring of 2016 Rado teamed up with Istituto Marangoni to host the first Italian edition of the Rado Star Prize, which was open to students of the Istituto's School of Design and Fashion. Located in Milan, the school has a proud 80-year history of educating students from across the globe and launching over 45,000 professionals in the fashion world. With campuses in the international capitals of fashion, design and luxury – Milan, Paris, London and Shanghai – Istituto Marangoni currently educates 4,000 students from 106 countries.

Paris Design week

Since 2012 Rado has been a proud partner of Paris Design Week, the biggest design event in France. Held every year, Paris Design Week allows visitors to discover different places in a design-focused context: art galleries, designer boutiques, concept stores and unusual venues all open their doors in a grand celebration of design and creation. Rado hosted the first Rado Star Prize France during Paris Design Week in 2013.

Junction design

Designjunction is UK’s leading destination for contemporary interior design and culture, held annually during the London Design Festival in September. designjunction presents world-class international brands and smaller cutting-edge design labels to an audience of design professionals (architects, interior designers, retailers and media) as well as consumers. Rado inaugurated the first Rado Star Prize UK in conjunction with the partnership with designjunction in 2017.

Vienna Design week

Since 2008 Rado has been a partner of Vienna Design Week, Austria’s biggest design event. Vienna Design Week is all about innovation in each and every domain of design. The event is dedicated to making product, furniture, industrial and graphic design visible and accessible to all. During Vienna Design Week, Rado hosts the Rado Star Prize Austria, which aims to support and develop up-and-coming young designers.

DESIGN PRIZE SCHWEIZ

The Design Prize Switzerland demonstrates the importance of Swiss design. The prize focuses on designs with economic and cultural significance as well as on dialogue between designers, companies and consumers. The competition, with an extensive display of renowned and prizewinning projects, takes places every two years. High quality design pieces that impressively reflect the innovative abilities of the design sector have been awarded prizes since 1991.

INTERIOR DESIGN SHOW

Design-driven Swiss watchmaker Rado announces its partnership with Canada’s
premier design fair, Interior Design Show (IDS), as part of the brand’s global commitment to design.
The partnership will see Rado host installations at the Vancouver and Toronto editions of IDS and run its famous Rado Star Prize competition in Canada for the first time. IDS is one of North America’s top Design shows, offering unparalleled access to the future’s best international and Canadian design. IDS is held annually in Toronto and Vancouver and attracts over 90,000 visitors. It is the leading Canadian platform for international and local brands to launch new products for the year.
