Rado Star Prize Hong Kong 2018

12 December 2018

Rado is proud to announce the winner of the 2018 Rado Star Prize Hong Kong. Hattie Chan was the unanimous choice of our panel of design experts as the 2018 winner – the first time the competition has been held in Hong Kong.

Hattie’s project, ‘Eclipse’ is inspired by the lunar eclipse and has dual functions of lighting and mirroring.

Hattie is the 8th Rado Star Prize winner this year, following competitions in Italy, Mexico, Spain, the UK, France, USA and Taiwan. Rado Star Prize competitions have already been announced for 2019 in Canada, Spain, the UAE and Austria with more set to follow.

The Rado Star Prize is an established competition that promotes up-and-coming designers, giving them a platform to show their work to a panel of design industry experts as well as the general public. It is part of Rado’s dedicated programme of design events, collaborations and partnerships.
