Rado partners with Vienna Design Week 2018

As a proud long-term partner of Vienna Design Week, Rado is back in the Austrian capital this autumn exhibiting its innovative, design-led products and using its Rado Star Prize competition to showcase the work of up-and-coming design talent.

The Rado boutique in the center of Vienna is playing host to a pop-up installation featuring work by the local designer duo KIM+HEEP. Inspired by the motif of (self) reflection, their installation "Mirror, Mirror ...", plays with the concept of selfies and self-expression in social media.

Rado is displaying new watches from its True Thinline and DiaMaster collections at the festival headquarters. Celebrating the intersection between design and nature Rado is presenting the nature-inspired True Thinline Nature Collection in rich taupe brown of Earth, deep midnight blue and verdant green. Highlighting the brand’s expertise in high-tech materials, Rado is also showcasing the DiaMaster Ceramos collection. Created from a mix of 90% high-tech ceramic and 10% metal alloy, the DiaMaster Ceramos features a colourful sheen that is a part of the material that will never fade or lose its shine.

Rado also opened applications for the 2019 Rado Star Prize at the festival. A global design competition that promotes innovative design and supports up and coming designers. Starting in January 2019, the window of Rado’s Viennese boutique will feature a different design installation every month. Discover more about the Rado Star Prize Austria here
