This new DiaStar Original comes in a smaller, reimagined size, packed with many of the iconic characteristics of Rado's history. The 30 mm diameter is larger than the 27 mm of its hard-metal version, but it embodies a modern aesthetic in watchmaking. Rado’s moving anchor symbol, enshrined against a red background, connects the new timepiece to the DiaStar One launched in 1962 —but at the same time, it’s also future-proof and ready for the challenges ahead. The bezel in Ceramos™ is both a testament to lightness and scratch resistance—a feature further enhanced by the sapphire crystal glass that covers the dial. The latter features a blue sunray with a sandblasted star pattern, along with 11 crystal stones and day and date at six o’clock. The watch has 10 bar (100 m) water resistance. The bracelet, middle links, and 3-fold clasp are a mix of polished and brushed stainless steel and feature the EasyClip system. A 48-hour power reserve, antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring and testing and adjustment in five positions complete what is a true crown jewel.
