The vision behind the Knekk-family is to enhance creative meetings and social interactions. It all started with the stool and the workshop table designed for creative meetings where you are working together. This year it became a full product family of chairs with and without armrests, a bench, a stool, and tables in multiple configurations. The core of the product family is the divided seat, where you can lean in to engaging discussions, and lean back for deep reflections. This is not only experienced through is functions, but also expressed throughout its form. Angled lines and sharp chamfers create an active and forward leaning posture, while its soft radiuses and the oak creates a warm and inviting form.

The goal of enhancing an upright and active sitting position is not only to improve the comfort for yourself – equally important is that this communicates your engagement to the others around the table, and that you are actively joining the collaboration. The goal is that you will experience the vision behind the Knekk-family no matter which of the family members you are interacting with, and that is brings a feeling of inclusiveness and engagement, so everybody feels welcome to join the table.
