BYM; Bymøbel for ungdom
The aim of the project has been to design an outdoor meeting place for youth outside of leisure activities. BYM is an organic and sculptural bench with three components: concrete beams, pine slats, and steel pipes. The purpose is to increase inclusivity and presence of the user group in society.

Comtesse is a small textile brand with production in Norway. The softly structured and boldly graphic textiles are made of wool and a quality that can last a lifetime. The expression is a combination of japonism and natural elements set in a nordic color palette. Pillows and curtains are sewn by the skilled Moving Mamas, just outside Oslo.

The demand for fine quality wool fibers is constantly rising. Due to the quality classifications, Around 10% of Norwegian wool fibers render worthless every year. The vast amounts of discarded wool are turning into a global problem. Through exploring wool's ability to felt, it has resulted in solid wool pieces.

Kollen loungestol
Bent aluminium sheets come together to create the futuristic-looking lounge chair Kollen. The silvery-white metal’s clean and sharp lines, combined with the soft seating in wool bouclé from Kvadrat/Innvik, make for a simple and modern piece of furniture, designed to survive for generations. The name Kollen is inspired by the chair’s resemblance to a ski jumping hill – Kollen is short for Holmenkollen, one of Norway’s most visited landmarks.

With the chair Pøbel I want to show the criticized Sitka Spruce as an attractive material for furniture scale products. Sitka Spruce has a bad reputation in Norway, being accused of producing poor materials and damaging ecosystems where it grows. Exemplifying its inherent qualities could contribute to improving its reputation.

Trapp Junior
Trapp Junior is a step ladder created in collaboration with stair manufacturer Trapperingen. The production methods used in their factory at Bømlo demands a great amount of material waste. With the aim of reducing the waste, Trapp Junior’s components fills the unused space occurring in the CNC process where the stair parts are cut out.

Yatai
A "yatai" is a traditional food cart from Japan. It must be portable and fulfil functions such as storage, cooking, be packed away in the evening and up during the day. A yatai-inspired cart was what furniture designers Hallbjørn and Jens were engaged by Dugnad Days to design and build.
